I didnt like anything in this hotel. I am not going to visit this hotel again. I was expecting something else but unfortunately I did have good time at this hotel. The reason are indicated in the following question.
THis hotel should not proposed especially to the tourists. This is not a good hotel and I dont recomend it. The reasons are the following: a) the personel of the hotel was not helpful. They charged us 18$ (without informing us) because they provided us free internet, breakfast (stale bred with butter and marmelade without service), one hour between 5pm- 6pm free beers that we didnt consume and finally towels that ware not clean and they were very old c) hydraulics were non functional, d) the layer of the bed was very hard and e) the view from the window was simply rubbish bin. In conclusio if you want to leave your car in the valet you should be able to pay 35$/day because no one is telling you the price from the first place. Even if you leave your car for 2 hours you should pay the same price. Very Expensive for nothing.

Had great experience.
For shots visit Finnegan's Way, nestled within 5 minutes' walk of the hotel. We spent just 10 minutes to walk to soundscape park. Strongly recommend this accommodation.

The hotel is located in the heart of all the action, right on Ocean Drive and just steps away from the beach. The convenience of being able to walk to countless restaurants and clubs in the Deco region is a major plus.
All was just fine.

The hotel is very nice, has good design, and great location. We were kindly upgraded free of charge. The hotel also serves a free of charge breakfast at the roof terrace. There is also free WiFi around the hotel. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
The only complaint is that there is about $50 per day extra fee for service which is not indicated in the initial price. Carefully read all details of the pricing.

Overall a nice hotel close to the beach. Having chairs and towels provided for the beach was a plus. The evening happy hour was nice. The view of the sun going down was even better. What a great rooftop view! Close enough to all the busy night life but far away enough to enjoy a romantic "quiet" walk on the beach :)
The positioning of the flat screen tv to the bed was a pain. It wasn't really in viewing distance. Also the phone was accross the room. Finally, we didn't feel like there was adequate lighting. There were two small lamps but the lights were very dim. A vending machine would be nice :)

loved our stay at marriott vacation club! spacious room, comfy bed, and amazing beach trolley with chairs, towels, and umbrella. perfect location, right by the beach and lots of great bars and restaurants nearby. rooftop breakfast was a nice touch too.
Noisy street view from our room.

The location was perfect - just 2 minutes from the ocean, right in front of the Lummus park and in the quite part of Ocean Drive (no disco sounds in the night!). At the same time all restaurants, shops (food), etc. were just 5 minutes away. We had a 1 bedroom room with 2 baths and kitchenette (Deluxe King Studio). It was very spacious and more than enough for 2 adults and 1 child. On request we got some dishes, pans, etc., so we were free to cook whenever we wanted to. The staff was really very friendly and helpful. The happy hour on the terrace (beer, wine, juice) was very relaxing - it's absolutely a must to go there! Free high-speed Wi-Fi!
In general we liked everything, because we got what we were expecting (definetely not less and maybe even a little more). There were little things like: - the tables in the room were cleaned maybe once a week and there was dust on them - the beach chairs were just plastic chairs, not comfortable at all (better to lie on a beach towel) - there were no free bottles of water in the room (but you could drink from special fountains in the lobby)

Marriott Vacation Club offered a spacious and comfortable room with a beautiful sea view. The hotel's location in the art deco area was perfect, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and the beach. The staff were excellent and went above and beyond to assist. The complimentary beach kit was a great addition. I highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay.

Location, renovated rooms.
Room had a very bad smell, had to change rooms. Breakfast run out by 8.30, only sliced bread left and toasters not working! Milk and butter for breakfast were left in an outdoor refrigerator which was switched off!

Spacious, comfortable room with sea view, fridge, freezer, and microwave. Perfect location in art deco area near restaurants, shops, and buses. Municipal parking available nearby. Excellent front of house staff, friendly bar host. Beach kit included with reclining chairs, parasol, towels, and cooler bag on beach trolley. Enjoyable stay.

The Hotel was new, clean and very contempory and in an excellent location. Right on Ocean drive but just far enough to not be in the thick of the noise. We had friends in Southbeach that same weekend staying in other Hotels and this is a annual trip, that say they will be staying at the Edgewater after seeing our rooms. Great hotel and excellent staff!!
Dvd player did not work in room, although I had music that I brought with me but was unable to play..wouldnt stop me from coming back though!

The staff were incredibly friendly and the location is practically on South Beach. The bed was very comfy and the roof top terrace for breakfast is a quaint feature
We stayed in room 303 which had a view of the ocean although I felt that calling it a 'suite' was a bit far fetched, because it was simply an ensuite room with a settee in and a fridge, microwave and sink. The room itself was ok though a couple of things were missing for example the soap tray in the shower had the frame but no bottom - a small thing no doubt but not in keeping with the image the hotel gives. We paid about $500 for 3 nights because we got it at a good price on Booked.net - but if we'd had paid full price I'd have been very disappointed because it certainly isn't worth the $400 a night some places quoted.
